This is where it all began. In 1963, Ohio State University Sophomore Jim Grote bought a pizza place for just $1300, and decided he’d build his business on three fundamentals: creating a superior product, hiring great people, and adhering to strong principles that promote goodwill in business and the community.

Today, Donatos has grown to more than 150 restaurants, and the Thurman Avenue location is still running strong. John, a manager who’s been with the company for 20 years, says high energy, positive attitude, and a positive atmosphere for Associates and customers alike are the ingredients that continue to make the Thurman Avenue Donatos a success.
